21 April 21 HACP Presentation
The Rainbow Map
Andrew Thomas MBACP (Accred)
You will get first hand experience of working with the Rainbow Map at the presentation. I would very much appreciate it if you could print the three page PDF file below in draft & colour (if possible) prior to the session or have it open in a window on your computer and/or tablet during the presentation. If you are unable to print the file please have some paper to hand for the Rainbow Map experience session.
Since the Rainbow Map article was published in the BACP's Therapy Today Journal in Dec 19 over 300 psychotherapists/counsellors have attended the Rainbow Map one day workshop from across the world. The BACP's Health Care Counselling and Psychotherapy Journal that goes out across the NHS will be featuring the Rainbow Map in their April edition.
The Rainbow Map is being integrated by therapists in all mainstream modalities in ways I never dreamt of over the years I spent developing it. It is being integrated into work with young people, individuals, couples and groups. Therapists are using it to work with depression, PTSD, addiction, anxiety, sexual dysfunction and relationship issues.
It is currently available in two languages (English and Polish) which will shortly go up to five and probably seven by the end of the year.
There will be a safeguarding session at the presentation as there is on the workshop. To be licensed to integrate this tool psychotherapists/counsellors must first attend the one day Rainbow Map workshop which is held online (zoom).
Hopefully the workshop will also be available in person again later this year.
It is run on a not for profit basis with 1/3 of fees going to the charity Shelter. The workshop is available to HACP members at 20% off (£36 instead of £45) through this link.
I look forward to meeting you on the 21 April.
